Silverstone Golf Club (실버 스톤 골프 클럽)

시내 (스트립)에서 찰스 마운틴 가는 길인 95번 하이웨이(북쪽) 길을 따라 15분 정도 가면 길 우측편에 있다. 2000년 6월부터 영업을 시작한 이 골프장은 Robert Cupp 가 코스를 디자인 했다고 한다. 코스는 데저트(Desert) / 벨리(Valley) / 마운틴(Mountain) 의 3종류가 있고, 각각 36파 의 코스이다.

Designed by Robert Cupp, Golf World's 1992 Architect of the Year, Silverstone Golf Club features 27 holes of championship golf just minutes from the Las Vegas strip.  It is located north of Centennial and east of U.S. 95 near the old Floyd Lamb State Park with a spectacular view of the Sheep Mountain Range.  Opening in June 2001, the courses feature three rotating championship style nines of bent grass on the greens and rye grass for the fairways and rough.  Various water features and fresh landscaping make for a challenging and enjoyable experience.

There are six Par 5 holes that average 590 yards from the tips, with another 4 holes over 600 yards.  The longest is a 653 yard hole on the Mountain course with a large lake protecting the green.  Each course will play 7,000 yards.  All of the problems are in plain view of the player, with no hidden tricks.  However, there is plenty of trouble for wayward shots and the greens that are small and undulated. If the wind is blowing, SilverStone vastly increases the degree of difficulty.

Golf Digest Schools is one of the most recognizeable golf schools in operation today, and fortunately for you, the Vegas golfer, a facility has opened in Las Vegas. SilverStone Golf Club, the new 27-hole Robert Cupp-designed course, is now home to Golf Digest Schools. The Golf Digest Schools are know for low student-instructor ratios (5-1), and for teaching every aspect of the game thoroughly. One, two or three-day schools will be offered in addition to other lessons. State-of-the-art computer equipment will also be available to assist with swing analysis and programs for women and juniors will be in place and will enhance the learning experience. Golf Digest Schools "Guarantee Game Improvement."

A 3,000 square-foot teaching facility is available at the back end of the SilverStone driving range and players will have the option of hitting inside or outside. Nevada marks the 13th state to be graced with a Golf Digest School.
