Las Vegas Golf Club (라스베가스 골프 클럽)

라스베가스 시내를 차타고 다니다 보면 눈에 띄는 골프장으로 호텔이 많은 스트립에서는 5~10분이면 갈 수 있는 곳에 위치하고 있다. 1938년 개장한 이 골프장은 라스베가스에 존재하는 수 많은 골프 클럽 중에서도 지역주민들에게 사랑받는 가장 오래된 골프장으로 넓은 그린(Green)과 많은 벙커가 특징적이다. 옛날 (1950년대) 에는 PGA 투어를 개최했을 정도로 전통이 깊고, 최근에는 4백만달러이상을 들여 코스개선 및 클럽하우스, 연습장 등을 공사를 마쳤다. 또한 매년 사우스 네바다 골프협회의 라스베가스 시티 아마추어 대회가 열린다. 총 6631야드에 18홀 파72로 운영된다.

이용료는 계절과 요일에 따라 달라지지만 보통 $50 ~ $100 정도면 골프를 즐길 수 있다.

Las Vegas Golf Club is a hidden jewel of Vegas golf, and one of the oldest courses in the valley. It has always been a local favorite and now is frequented by visitors who are finding the traditional layout to their liking. The course is a good value and fun to play. Wide fairways shadowed by majestic trees welcome golfers to the course. Reachable par 5s and three of the sternest finishing holes in the area make for an exciting round. Monte Money, a Vegas legend, fired a 58 on the course, the lowest course record of any par 72 course in Las Vegas. Annually, the course plays host to the Southern Nevada Golf Association's Las Vegas City Amateur, a major event. The NIKE Golf Schools offer instruction. A lighted range is available, as is a recently remodeled clubhouse with restaurant.
