Las Vegas Motor Speedway 경기장

시내에서 메스킽, 유타 가는 고속 도로(15번)를 따라 15~20분 정도 가다 보면
Exit No.54 (출구)를 따라 나오면 바로 Las Vegas Motor Speedway 경기장으로 연결 된다.

11만 7,000명을 수용하는 경기장과
600명씩 파티를 할 수 있는 파티장이 3개 있고,
100 대를 주차 할 수 있는 RV 파킹장도 있다.

The 1,500 acre,
$200-million facility showcases a 1.5-mile superspeedway Tri-Oval with a 2.5-mile infield FIA road course.

The LVMS motorsports complex also features a half-mile dirt oval, a 3/8-mile paved oval,
a new dragway (under construction), a 1/3-mile paved Legends Cars track, Go-Kart and off-road motocross areas.
In all there are more than a dozen different racing venues and test facilities on the premises.

Richie Clyne spent half a decade visiting race tracks worldwide to lay the groundwork for the $200 million Las Vegas Motor Speedway complex. From 1989 through 1994, he visited track owners on Wednesdays, racing teams on Thursdays, drivers on Fridays and the fans on weekends -- gathering ideas to build the 1.5-mile tri-oval.

NASCAR ( 자동차 경주 대회 )

매년 3월 초에 Las Vegas Winston Cup 자동차 경주 대회( NASCAR )를 개최한다.
이 행사 기간에 라스베가스로 찾아오는 사람들은 약 15만명이 넘는다.

2003년에는 3월 1일(금) 부터 3월 3일(일) 까지 열린다.

2008년에는 2월 29일(금) 부터 3월 2일(일) 까지 열렸다.
